Hi everyone! Observing eclipses is a great way to do science, travel the world, and work as a team. While our first priority is the science, we also try to learn about the places we visit and since we all get along, we also have some fun. On this page, we will share some of these experiences. Hover over each image or click on it to read the figure caption – and see if you can find Frosty!!
We have an unofficial mascot named Frosty – and he likes to try new foods and hide a lot. Here he is enjoying an apple in the SAS lounge at the Oslo airport during our 5-hour layover, and before our flight to Longyearbyen was cancelled!
Who knew Lonyearbyen is the home of Santa Claus?
The northernmost ATM in the world.
Can you find Frosty among all the scientists?
Frosty really liked the herring salads!
